Grey Squirrels deserved to be killed and eaten, spreading Squirrel Poxvirus and killing the red squirrels. Fact is, grey squirrels are invasive, therefore need to be rid of. Well done to the man who cooked one!! Finally somebody has sense!!

Grey Squirrels- cute! Get real people, I think most animals we eat are cute but unfortunately most farmed animals are reared in appalling conditions, Chickens kept in dark, unventilated shed never go out side, pigs kept in crates. But I don’t hear you all complaining about our modern day farming practises which I believe is cruel.
Anyway your comments make me want to go out now and shoot myself some of those free range cute tree rats that are partly responsible for native bird populations for declining, oh yeah that comment about them being in Britain for 130 years, yes and their population has been increasing ever since which has had a significant environmental impact to our native species, your the sought who probably thinks it’s o.k to have Mink in this country as well but there again you probably live in a city and voted against fox hunting but wouldn’t mind a Seagull cull in town as they wake you up every morning at 5 o’clock.

This David Simpson guy is right. Squirrel tastes grate whether it is a Gray, Red, or Fox squirrel. I’m from the USA and I think it is more important to eat than “preserve a cute cuddly animal.” I grew up if you kill and animal you eat it, it makes for respectful hunters. Oh and squirrel dose taste great so you shouldn’t knock it till you try it.

Yeah, kill raccoons, hawks, falcons, eagles(!), but not squirrels… coz they’re, you know, CUTE! And all things cute must be preserved… for cuddles.

Hands off the adorable gray squirrels, David Simpson and other despicable barbarians in Great Britain! The real reason you barbarians kill those beautiful-in-and-out animals is your animosity toward the American people. You barbarians consider those valuable animals the AMERICAN INVASION!

The argument of gray squirrels being nonnative to the Great Britain is TOTALLY IRRELATIVE – gray squirrels have existed in that country for around 130 years!!! Considering that fact, the squirrel murdering subhumans who use that nonnativeness argument to justify killing of grays are deranged or evil; no other way!

Gray squirrels DO NOT DESTROY the woodland habitat. Barking trees does not cause destruction of the woodlands. On the other hand, debarked trees create a favorable environment for fungi and invertebrates to grow that attract birds feeding on them.

The main reason that the red squirrels moved north up to Scotland is because that is where the coniferous trees grow. Blame the deforestation and planting of deciduous trees in England by your fellow conservationists.

What barbaric, senseless idea is it anyway to value trees more than the most adorable animals on earth!

There has not been a huge number of red squirrels that died from the parapox virus (I grief for each one of them). There is evidence that they are starting to develop immunity to it. That’s exactly how it used to be with the gray squirrels (some of them are still dying from that virus). The parapox virus is NOT a threat to survival of the red squirrel as a species.

To all people with their humanity intact, David Simpson, it should be totally obvious that squirrels were not created for the purpose of hunting. In terms of human depravity, David Simpson, eating squirrels is just one step below cannibalism.

The gray squirrels DO NOT eradicate the super-adorable red squirrels. Red squirrels simply run away from the grays, as the latter are stronger genetically. The way to preserve the reds is to focus ON THEM, on building the favorable to them habitat, not to focus murderously on the grays. The number one killer of the squirrels are the bandit-drivers on the streets and roads. Conduct an educational campaign for them to stop killing squirrels. Put up “STOP for squirrels” road signs. Exterminate natural killers of squirrels – raccoons, martins, hawks, falcons, eagles, etc. Protect and feed everywhere the adorable squirrels; ALL OF THEM!

You are lucky squirrel-murdering bandits I don’t live in your decadent country. If I caught you killing squirrels, it would be YOU who would be hunted by me, after being given one warning to stop.

You British people have shown lastly your national character: You are filled with hostility and resentment against the American cultural invasion insomuch that you have been willing to take them on the poor, innocent, beautiful, adorable animal – the gray squirrel!
